Lord Ganesh is the remover of obstacles,the bringer of luck and the protector of knowledge.

Ganesha carries various symbols in his hands. One of these is an axe, which is also known as a parashu. This axe Ganesh uses to conquer ignorance and darkness. He also carries a hook known as an ankusha with which he can steer his followers and make sure they do not lose their path. One of Ganesh's palms he holds up facing outwards in a gesture of protectiveness. In his final hand he carries a bowl of sweets. These sweet are known as modakapatra and they symbolise Lord Ganesh's love of all things sweet, and liberation in particular.

At Ganesh's feet is a mouse. he is often depicted with a mouse, sometimes as his steed. The mouse represents desire, and how it important to keep desire under control, otherwise havoc can reign.

These beautiful and bright bed spreads are made from heavy cotton. They measure approximately 2084mm by 2340mm.

Please be aware that these bedspreads have been hand printed in India and as such may differ slightly from the picture due to the techniques involved. Some double printing may occur, but all are brightly coloured and beautiful.
