Product description

A small wooden statuette of Lord Ganesh, shown enthroned beneath a parasol. It has a deliberately stylised look rather than lots of tiny detail, so it works nicely on a small shelf, desk or altar without taking over the place.

The figure measures 30mm long, 57mm wide and 30mm deep, with a non-slip base to help it stay put. The parasol, known as a Chhatra in Indian culture, is associated with rank and royalty. Ganesh is one of the best-known Hindu deities, and this is a compact decorative representation rather than a large statement piece.

A useful little gift for someone who collects Indian-inspired figures, or a neat addition to a home display where space is limited.

This is a properly small Ganesh figure, so check the measurements rather than expecting a big shelf ornament. The carved parasol gives it a nice silhouette, and the non-slip base is useful because little wooden statues do have a habit of wandering when a shelf gets knocked. Good for a modest corner of a room, desk or altar.
