Product description

A square soapstone oil burner with an elephant design and jali-style cut-outs around the sides. At approximately 12cm x 8cm x 8cm, it is a decent little burner for a shelf, side table or wherever you keep your incense and home scent bits.

The cut-out work lets the candlelight show through, while the top dish is there for water and a few drops of fragrance oil. It comes in Burnt Umber, Plum, Black, Blue or Green, so you can go restrained or pick the one that refuses to blend in.

Use a tealight underneath, keep an eye on it while it is lit, and do not let the water boil dry. A solid choice if you prefer your oil burner to look like an object in its own right rather than a plain bowl on legs.

These have more going on than the usual plain oil burner. The elephant carving and jali cut-outs make a nice job of throwing candlelight through the sides, and the square shape gives it a properly solid look. I would not overfill the dish, and as ever with a tealight underneath, do not wander off and forget it is there.
