Black-and-white chequered flannel combat trousers, handmade in Nepal and cut for a relaxed, easy-going fit. They have a soft brushed feel, so they work just as well for lounging about as they do for a festival, fancy-dress box, or generally refusing to wear boring trousers.

Both Large and XL have a drawstring waist. Each adjusts from around 30 inches up to roughly 46 inches at full stretch, so there is plenty of give without having to guess too precisely. Large has an approximate 74cm inseam; XL is approximately 78cm.

The chequered pattern is properly bold, as it should be. Pick your size, pull the drawstring to suit, and get on with having more interesting trousers than most people.

These are for people who think plain black trousers are taking themselves a bit seriously. The black-and-white chequered finish is loud enough for fancy dress, but the brushed flannel makes them decent for slobbing about in too. The drawstring is useful here: both sizes have a generous stretch in the waist, rather than being rigidly cut for one exact shape.
