Product description
A seated Bhumisparsha Buddha figure in the traditional earth-touching pose, with one hand reaching down towards the ground. It is a recognisable Buddhist art pose and gives the statue a clear, unfussy focal point.
At 29cm tall, this is large enough to hold its own on a shelf, sideboard or dedicated display without taking over the room. The listed overall measurements are 290 x 170 x 128mm. It is made from resin with an aged stone-effect finish, detailed robe texture and neutral colouring.
A good piece for a home incense corner, meditation space or amongst other alternative homeware. The stone-look finish has the appearance of something older and weightier, while the resin construction makes it less worrying to move around than a fragile plaster ornament. Keep it somewhere stable and let the pose do the talking.
Paul says
This is a decent size for a shelf piece at 29cm tall. The earth-touching hand is what gives it the proper Bhumisparsha look, rather than it being another generic seated Buddha. I also like the aged stone-effect finish: it looks at home next to incense holders and candles without needing a whole shrine built around it.
