Product description

A compact Saraswati figurine with a carved soapstone back and support. The central miniature figure is shown holding a vina, the musical instrument associated with Saraswati and the arts and sciences.

At 105 x 80 x 27mm, it is small enough for an altar, shelf or quiet corner of the room without needing a whole display cabinet around it. The carved backing gives the piece a framed look and helps it stand as a small home ornament rather than a loose miniature.

It weighs 260g, so it has a reassuring bit of presence for its size. A straightforward little statue for anyone who wants Saraswati represented at home.

This is a small one, but it has more going on than a plain little figure. The carved soapstone backing gives Saraswati a proper setting, and the vina is clear enough to make out rather than being lost in the detail. At 105mm across, it sits neatly on an altar or shelf without taking over the place.
