A large hand-finished batik featuring Saraswati seated on a lotus, with a veena, book and mala in the design. It measures approximately 760 x 1220mm, so it has enough presence to cover a decent stretch of wall rather than disappearing behind everything else.

Rainbow batiks are hand-printed and painted, which means each one has its own small differences in colour and print. You may spot slight design variation or areas of double printing from the process. That is part of the finish, not a fault.

A good pick for anyone after traditional Hindu artwork with plenty going on in it. Hang it up, let the colours do their thing, and don’t expect it to look factory-identical to the photo.

This is a proper large batik at roughly four feet wide, so give it a wall where the artwork can actually be seen. The Saraswati design has plenty of detail, from the veena to the book and mala. Being hand-printed and painted, colours and occasional doubled print marks will vary a bit. That’s the nature of these, not a printing disaster.
