Product description
A large handmade Laxmi batik, approximately 100cm by 130cm, with a stonewashed background that gives the print a bit more depth than a flat, plain backdrop.
The artwork shows Laxmi seated on a large lotus flower, holding smaller lotuses and coins. It is an unapologetically detailed piece, suited to the sort of wall that needs more than a tiny print trying its best.
At this size, it has enough presence for a bedroom, living room or den, and works well as part of a properly hippy home setup. The stonewashed ground helps keep the image from looking overly sharp or sterile. A straightforward bit of Indian-inspired wall art with plenty going on.
Paul says
This is a proper large batik, not a little thing you have to squint at from across the room. The 100cm by 130cm size gives the Laxmi artwork some room, and the stonewashed background stops it looking too flat. There are lotuses and coins everywhere, so it is certainly not shy. Good for a bare wall that could do with sorting out.
