Product description

A large Shiva Nataraj batik with a hand-printed image set against a stone-washed backdrop. It measures approximately 100cm by 130cm, so this is the one for covering a decent stretch of wall rather than filling a small gap.

The Nataraj image shows Shiva dancing within a circle of flames, giving the piece its familiar bold, busy look. Hang it in a bedroom, living room, studio or wherever the plain wall is starting to look a bit too landlord-issued. The stone-washed background keeps the print from looking overly neat, which suits the artwork.

It is a straightforward bit of hippy homeware with plenty going on visually. Large, colourful in character and not remotely subtle, as a proper Shiva batik should be.

This is a proper large wall piece, not one of those little prints that disappears behind a door. At roughly 100cm by 130cm, the Shiva Nataraj artwork has room to breathe, and the stone-washed backdrop stops it looking too tidy. Good for a blank wall that needs a bit more life than another framed poster.
